Lynda Bell

Lynda creates magical worlds and visionary dreamscapes from her studio in Northland, New Zealand. She is a painter, illustrator, sculptor and writer, with painting being her favourite of all creative things to do. With background training and experience in fine arts, painting, teaching and arts therapy, she has built a unique art practice that inspires joy and ignites a feeling of hope and renewal.

Motivated by her love of animals, Lynda's paintings are intertwined with storytelling and the archetypes and symbolism within classic tales and mythological themes. She paints a world where all things imagined are possible; dreams are real, and life is abundant and joyful.

Within her paintings, mystical tales unfold, and viewers are taken into utopian worlds of abundance, where animals are loved, and hearts are filled with kindness. It is within this world that people may be reminded of their love of daydreaming, and their integral connection to the stories that are woven into our human experience.

Lynda's paintings and sculptures live in homes all around the world. She has written and illustrated an oracle deck, published by Blue Angel Publishing and has more decks and stories in the making. Ultimately, she hopes that through her art, she can open up worlds beyond the ordinary and remind people of the magic and wonder that we easily accessed as young children and is still in our hearts and minds, waiting for us to reconnect to
